This is my new toy from Leben Hi-Fi, A Motion Sound. It’s a imited production, hand-made Japanese stereo tube amplifier. The design elements are “perfect.” Gold tone stainless steel chassis and those are real hard wood railings. This baby makes music like nobody’s business.

http://www.premierguitar.com PG’s Joe Coffey is On Location in Anaheim, CA, for NAMM 2010 where he visits the VOX Amps booth. In this segment, we get introduced into the AGA70 Acoustic Amp.

The AGA70 two-channel (Normal and Tube Pre equipped with a 12AU7 vacuum tube) amp. Each channel offers two inputs: Guitar (phone) and Mic (XLR), Lo-Z and Hi-Z level switch on each input; Mic inputs can provide phantom power. The controls include Bass, Middle, Treble (on each channel) and a Color feature that provides convenient single-knob control of the overall sound, emphasizing a wide range of performance techniques from picking arpeggios to strumming chords. Also, it has a DI output (balanced XLR), which is available for using the AGA with a larger sound system; a tuner output is also provided.

Awhile ago, I was told that it is not good to use an electric guitar amp with my acoustic/electric guitar and that I should use an acoustic amp. Lately, I have been hearing that there is nothing wrong with using this kind of amp, or others, with my guitar. So is there anything that could be damaged by me plugging my guitar into an electric amp?

Many great musicians mix amplification types. The sound will be slightly different but you’re not going to hurt your instrument.
