yes, no, maybe-so?

Hey, im looking for a good good software where i can plug in my guitar to the pc and play through it with some software that has cool effects, any ideas??? thanx!

Hello Tou,

You can use GuitarFX™ guitar software (it’s on the market since 1997!) enables you to turn your computer into a guitar effects processor. Simply plug your guitar into the microphone or line input of your sound card, run this software, then press "Start" button. To stop playbacking pre-recorded guitar sounds click once on a picture of a small red lamp placed left to fx-slot with "Playback wav" title. Enjoy real-time crazy distortion smoothed by power filters and shaped by multi-band equalizers!

Hope you will gonna like it..

I have a cheap sx amp and it only has volume, overdrive , low , medium and high nobs and i want to make my guitar sound the most distorded . Is this possible !?!?

Crank the overdrive up. That will distort the most.

My g’ma has a 1993 merecedes 190 e that some crappy mechanic rigged with a straightwire of the fans and headlights straight to the battery after a front end fender bender. Now when I put a meter to 12v and the ground, I’m showing three amps are pulling from the ground. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance..

i know electroacoustic guitar has amps and all that other stuff but what exactly are amps? i know they make the guitar sound louder but how ? I also know that acoustic guitars require no cords or amps. and uhm. what’s the difference in sound between those type of guitars? is one brighter than the other or what? i just want more info. thanks. =]

electroacoustic has a pickup and can be plugged into an amp. It does not have an amp.

Hi guys! I’ve been around a few tube amps, and none of them pop quite as loudly when switched off as the one I’ve got.

What causes a tube amp to make a pop when turned off anyway? Stored electricity being released into the speaker? More importantly, does it hurt my amplifier when it does this? It does it even if all the knobs are on zero.

It is fairly common for a tube amp to do this, and some solid state amps do also. It certainly does not harm the amp. It is a little hard on the speaker if it is real loud.

A tube amp will have an output transformer, so this means no DC will pass to the speakers, but a transient in any stage of the amplifier will pass through to the speakers. There are a number of causes. A bad tube is the first possibility, and it can be any tube in the amp. An intermittent electrolitic capacitor would be the second place to look.

I could tell you how to track this down, but we would have to do that by email.

I have a fender starcaster flanger, danelectro chili dog octave, dunlop original crybaby, digitech death metal distortion, digitech bad monkey overdrive, first act 222 distortion, and a danelectro FAB chorus. what would be a good order to put these? ordered guitar -> [effects] -> amp

Hi, John! Try placing the CryBaby first, followed by the Flanger, then the overdrive and distortion pedals. Next would come the Chili Dog Octoave, and finally the Fab Chorus. If you have a delay or reverb pedal, it should be last. You may want to switch some of the pedals around to get a different sound, but Guitar>Wah>Compressor>Overdrive>EQ> Pitch>Modulation>Level>Echo>Amplifier is a fairly standard formula. Best regards, Dana

I would like to know what these panels do on my electric guitar and amp.
My electric guitar:

Epiphone Les Paul SG Custom

there are 3 Volume Panels and 1 Tone panel.

My guitar amp:

Channel A (Disortion)

Gain, Level, Shape

Channel B (Clean)

Volume, High, Mid, Low

and then theres Reverb

What do all these panels do?

on the epiphone
1 volume is for the bridge humbucker
1 is for the neck humbucker
1 is master volume.

if you don’t know what distortion is put the guitar down now.

gain=how much dist.
level=volume control for distortion channel.
shape=EQ

clean=again if you don’t know what this is…..
volume=not gonna explain it
high, mid, low=these are your EQ settings
reverb is a sound effect it sounds wicked awsome with mild distortion.

have you ever actually just fiddled with them?

I have always played on fender guitar amps and peavey amps. Im getting a new amp soon, what is another good amp and why? Thanks
and if you like fender or peavey, why?

Marshall MG-15 DFX. Very good Amp, with a good sound and it is under 200 Dollars.

I bought a really expensive taylor acoustic guitar (which i love!) but i want an amp that will do it justice, So can i go and buy any amp, or are there specific acoustic and electric amps

I’d say go to guitar center or best buy’s music section or any place with guitar amps and ask them which one will sound the best for an acoustic
