I have just a regular acoustic guitar, it does not have anything to connect to an amp. I know there are things you can put near the bottom of the strings so that you can hook up non-electric guitars to amps, but i don’t know what they’re called. Can any one help me out?

I think Dean Markely makes a pickup like that. It is floating in the soundhole and the wires come out.

You could also have someone put in a piezo electric pickup for 1-200 dollars.

They also make little microphones that go into the body, those are more expensive.

There are a lot of external pickups made for classical and acoustic guitars, some of them are basically made just to act on the sound and it’s level, others are made to support amp effects and distortion. You just have to choose one, and ask from a professional to install it on the guitar body, there are a few pickups that don’t need the whole " installation " process;easy to put, easy to remove
