Can i play a fender hot rod amp through a cabinet?

I want to switch my orange guitar amp head for a fender head, or a fender amp that will play through my cabinet speakers, they are 8 ohms. If compatible, can i play through the fender combo amp amd have it go through the cab too? any ideas of other fender amps? Would it work with 8 ohms?

Yes, the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe has an 8 ohm output so that should be fine. fender amps can tolerate a difference of 100% output impedance meaning that an amp with an 8 ohm output should tolerate a speaker load of 4 or 16 ohms. Your volume will be lower but it shouldn’t hurt anything. (This is not true of British amps)

Are Mexican fender amps good?

I have a tweed fender blues junior and on the back it says made in Mexico. Are these good because my Mexican strat sucks dick compared to my American one. Also, is there an American blues junior? Lastly, is the Mexican one high quality? What wood is the cabinet made of and is the Jensen speaker good? Pros and cons?
They’re both fender… Obviously

I bet in a blindfold test very few people can tell the difference between mexicans and americans. Fender makes great amps, I wouldn’t worry about it

BEST FENDER AMP EVER—1975 deluxe reverb demo

This is a demo of my 1975 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp, this thing is the best sounding deluxe i have ever heard. I searched high and low, black face, silver face, drip edge, you name it i tried it, THIS AMP HAD IT ALL! Not only did the sound blow me away when i turned it around i found out that it had everything original and in working order, caps, tubes, speaker, even the power chord had the “do not destroy” tag on it from fullerton california. It is in amazing condition 9/10 and any guitar sounds good through it. So before you turn your nose up to it and say “oh it cant sound that good its a silverface” LISTEN to it! When you find the right amp it doesnt matter what year it is, what panel it has on it, ect. This is the ultimate fender amp.

And sorry to y buddy Gearmandude, this demo looks like your demos but the only reason i did it this way cause i was using the Zoom on the floor where the mic sounded best haha.

want to run one guitar through both amps. Can this be done with a simple Y spiltter coming from my pedal?

Use a Y-splitter pedal and run out of both amps. I used to do that with two different amp settings so that I could jump from a jazz tone to a hard rock tone. Lol

I want to use both amps with one guitar,Can i use the other input & run a 1/4 in. cord to the other amps. input?

Hello there,

No. If there is a power out and a power in on the back side of the amp, you could do that. However, since the amps are the same, you do not gain any change in tone. No reason to go to the trouble.

It is a 100 watt amp, if you need it louder, mic it and run it through the PA.
