Guitarists of R&P: When it comes to tube amps, whose do you prefer–Fender’s or Vox’s?

BQ: What’s your favorite Fender amp (regardless of whether it’s a solid-state or tube amp)?
BQ2: What’s your favorite Vox amp (regardless of whether it’s a solid-state or tube amp)?

My favorite, is the old original black face Vibrolux Reverb.

The new ones are "ok",
but nothing lick the old ones, which were hand wired,

The old ORIGINAL black fave Deluxe Reverb, is a close second,
I’m just a real fan. of guitar amps,with 2-10".

I’ve own a couple of old Tube Vox amps, the but the old ones a re well known as headache amps,
Good sound, but I’ve seen a friends "Super Beatle" tube amp, go up in smoke.
Flames shoot out, about a foot,

And I’m not a fan, of their Solid state stuff.

Are Mexican fender amps good?

I have a tweed fender blues junior and on the back it says made in Mexico. Are these good because my Mexican strat sucks dick compared to my American one. Also, is there an American blues junior? Lastly, is the Mexican one high quality? What wood is the cabinet made of and is the Jensen speaker good? Pros and cons?
They’re both fender… Obviously

I bet in a blindfold test very few people can tell the difference between mexicans and americans. Fender makes great amps, I wouldn’t worry about it

Would be very handy in the studio for stacking rhythm tracks without all the hiss fizz and noise. The pedal has tributes to all the classic stompboxes like the ProCo Rat, Tubescreamer, Big Muff Pi, Tone Bender MK II, Dallas Arbiter Fuzzface, Marshall and Boogie preamp tones, and more. Also has 6 presets and a graphic EQ…all in all, and very handy tool!

Peavey vs Fender Amp Test

Clean channel test from a Peavey Delta Blues 1×15 inch speaker and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1 x 12 inch speaker.

This is not a competition, just a test I own both these amps and I like them both for different reasons `

Are there any transistor guitar amps that sound as good as tube amps?

Don’t think so, but I haven’t played anything but my old Mesa Boogie amp for the last ten years.

Solid state amps just sound different than tube amps. End of story.

Whether that’s for better or worse is subjective, although most people find that tube amps sound more interesting. Transistors are predictable and consistent. Tubes aren’t nearly as perfect, and there’s a bit of randomness in the sound. That makes for a more complex and pleasing sound. No processing can create something truly random.
