They are fairly identical. If I had to pick one it would be the Frontman. I think it has a slightly better speaker.

It’s only a 15 watt amp so it really doesn’t make a difference. They both sound the same to me.

the frontman looks better to me. It has the classic fender controls, and from what I remember has a bit of the fender tone.
To be honest, I don’t hear a lot of difference in any amp at this size, unless you get yourself a class A tube amp, which has a ton of tone, but is limited in other ways. If you want versatility get a spider,

they sound pretty good, but kinda generic.
References :
I haven’t heard the Starcaster, but even if they did sound the same, the Fender will be a bit easier to sell when you decide to upgrade if that matters.
