my uncle has been playing guitar for a long time. i play too. and my birthday is coming up and he said he will give me one of his amps but only between these two(he has a bunch of gear)

i have the choice of taking a free Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
OR a Mesa Boogie studio 22

witch one should i take!!!!!!!

Mesa/Boogie Studio 22 all the way

Mesas from when they were still handwired sound so awesome, and the Studio 22 will cover a lot of genres. I’m pretty sure the S22 is capable of bluesy clean stuff, as well as medium-gain stuff. With an OD you’re gonna be able to push it into metalcore category.

Just know that Mesa amps take a lot of tweaking to sound good, but once you get that sweet EQ spot, it sounds sooooo good.

I’m so jealous.
