    Wassup Stingray?
I also love Strats… I have strayed for short periods over the 40 years I have played, and always came right back LOL.
Which of course means I am old enough to cite Ritchie Blackmore as my early inspiration for neo-classical music, and wanted to build upon that basis as a young player. I dont know any Malmsteen tubes, but have an entire library of Blackmore stuff still rolling around in my head LOL.

The Gretsch itself, being a single ended amp, has some dirt itself when turned up. I plug into an old analog MXR Distortio+ and MXR DynaComp (both 1970’s units). Depending on what I’m doing, sometimes a delay thrown in subtley. These are GREAT old amps!
    Nice to meet you!
