Author: Ive been looking for heads for my cabinet, i want a fender tubr amp that i can run it thru thr cab or a head. i wana see if i can get a fender head for a good price, any recomends? ive had 3 fender amps n use a fender 212r, but i wana upgrade to tubes and play it thru my 8 ohm cabinet.

If you have an 8 ohm cab that will probably take a solid state head. Most of the tube heads are 4 ohm. like the Dual Showman Reverb. Maybe some of the less powerful tube amps are 8 ohm. I have several vintage Fender amps and all are 4 ohm.
What’s your budget? I do like the vintage Dual Showman Reverb. Essentially the same sound as the Twin Reverb but in a head form.
The best way to find a deal on a Fender would be to watch your craigslist and watch ebay to see what comes along.
