Bugera V22 guitar amplifier, mexican strat with Texas Specials in Front and Middle and a Lil 59 humbucker in back. Straight into the amp with no effects, amp is hardly even turned up and sounds better cranked. Great amp for the money…Recorded this with a small sony digital camera. I apologize for the bad off the cuff playing but I wanted you to hear the tone of the amp.

yes pretty loud for a small club, really great if you mike, not a ton of headroom if you really need a loud “clean” sound. It really projects if you run it into a 2×12 cab.

Love my V22 but it died after 4 months. At the amp tech now getting fixed while under the warranty. I guess I’ll be keeping my tech in beers through the years! It’s worth it for the tone!

@usefulcoin I checked out this, the Peavey Classic 30, and the Hot Rod Deluxe today at Sam Ash, the biggest music store I’ve ever seen, btw. First, the Hot Rod sucks next to either of these amps, though I always wanted to ignore that. The Classic 30 just plain rocks. It’s actually a really great amp, but was still marked at $450 used. The Bugera was marked $350 new, and in triode mode, seemed to match the Peavey in almost every way. The only thing that it seemed to lack was a comparable speaker.

This is a great representation of this amp and how it sounds straight out of the box.. Nice playing , nice tone. I bought one of these myself and have no issues,. I did however upgrade the tubes to JJ’s and now it sounds even better , more headroom and much smoother breakup on the clean channel… I have a friend who is a huge Boutique amp buyer and he cant believe what i payed for this amp……. He’s buying 2!!

I own the V5 from this series, have had it for about 6 months and have had no reliability issues. Great little amp that sounds awesome with a Jenson clone or hooked up to a 4×12.

The store I work at sells the V5, V22 and V55 amps and no one who has bought one has brought it back. Don’t believe the hate.

thanks, I think a hot rod has a little more umph to it and is a great amp, but it’s a lot more cash, you could buy 2 of these and run in stereo for the price of one hotrod… the peavey classic 30 would be my next choice. I’m running 10’s on the guitar.

Dude, nice playing! I have a Peavey Valveking Royal 8 and would want to know how it compares to the V22 (and V5 for that matter). Also, I’m a 6L6 kinda guy but the cleans are pretty clear on this amp, but how would you compare it to say, a Hot Rod Deluxe or something? And are you using like size 15 gauge strings cuz your tone is sweet!
