I’ve had a lot of emails requesting some of the more affordable stompboxes for my pedal demos, so I went out and bought a pile of digitech and danelectro pedals today to take em for a spin for ya. I used my Gibson SG Les Paul custom shop thing, and a Jaguar Jr amplifier from http://www.jaguaramplification.com . The Bad Monkey is a great pedal for those wanting boutique tone on a budget

http://www.fillmorepedal.com This video tutorial will tell you how to make your own circuit boards for guitar effects. There are hundreds of great gadgets out there and a lot of the good ones don’t come in a ready-to-build kit So I teach you how to make your own circuit board. This method uses acids that etch copper so follow the safety instructions. In this lesson I etch the circuit board for the Ampeg Scrambler. Then I go on to Part II and actually build the project using this circuit board made here in Part I. Finally, I have 2 audio Demos of playing the Ampeg Scrambler effect a wild, wooly and crazy giutar effects pedal from 1969

This is the stock version, with my http://www.kingbeeguitars.com relic telecaster and http://www.jaguaramplification.com JAGUAR TWIN amplifier. This over-drive has a boost switch, and a bunch of other options you can select with switches….totally happenin’ little box of grooviness.

Here it is the clips from custom tube amp I made with another student for our end-of-career project in the university. We designed the schematic basing on tube amp fenders, and we too designed chassis and cabinet. It’s a 15W push-pull class AB with three 12AX7 in the preamp and two EL84 in the output, it has a Celestion G12-65 and a Ruby Tubes reverb. We design it to be similar to fender amps in order to play from jazz, blues and other soft styles to rock. We name it Bluexurious and it really sounds great. Its similar to a Blues Junior or a Princeton but with some more controls, a warmer tone and with less noise and a additional channel for having a little more boost for solos, which can be controlled by the switch on the front or by footswitch. We really enjoyed doing this project so we wanted to share with people around the web. The quality is not so good, ’cause I’ve recorded it on the video option of my photo camera, but it gives you an idea of its sound. If you want more there are some photos in this album of photobucket:
