I build this LM386 based guitar amp, aka. “Little Gem”. Its pretty good!
I used a 8Ohm speaker for it! I want it to minimum size.
I don’t use any pedal for it! The amp have very high gain!!!

Bugera V22 guitar amplifier, mexican strat with Texas Specials in Front and Middle and a Lil 59 humbucker in back. Straight into the amp with no effects, amp is hardly even turned up and sounds better cranked. Great amp for the money…Recorded this with a small sony digital camera. I apologize for the bad off the cuff playing but I wanted you to hear the tone of the amp.
