http://www.premierguitar.com PG’s Acoustic Editor Gayla Drake Paul walks us through her latest review of the Vox AGA70 Acoustic guitar amplifier.
The AGA70 is ideal for the acoustic performer because it’s designed to perfectly project the subtle resonances and sweet, mellow tones of the acoustic guitar. Each of the two channels (Normal and Tube Pre) is equipped with a standard guitar input, as well as a microphone input with selectable phantom power. An electro-acoustic guitar or mic can be connected to each channel, making this the perfect amp for a singer-instrumentalist. An additional Lo-Z / Hi-Z switch on each input accommodates a variety of signal levels.
The Tube Pre channel preamp features a 12AU7 (ECC82) dual-triode vacuum tube.
In addition to Bass, Middle, and Treble tone controls, each channel provides an effective COLOR control. Working in harmony with the traditional EQ, the COLOR knob allows you to quickly shift the tonal response to match your performance. This additional control accommodates a broad variety of sounds ranging from thick and robust to sparkling and clean.
Also, it features onboard Reverb (both channels) and an on/off switch for a Chorus effect.

Hey guys !
In this demo I wanted to show you what kind of tone I achieved from this VERY, VERY, VERY cheap and simple Guitar gear Setup.
The guitar I´m using is A Dearmond M65, Probably the cheapest copy of a Les paul style guitar. It has two stock humbucker pickups, nothing fancy about but still fat and nice sounding pups.
The amp is a Roland Bolt 60 wich is a 60 watts All tube powered 6L6 Based amp. I almost paid nothing for this amp I got it very very cheap. I´ve seen alot of them Sold for a tiny amount of cash.
But I think It has a great tone, fat tube tone
Besides the Guitar and Amp the only effect I´m using is a Boss DD3 delay pedal.
So this Demo Involves some very very simple guitar equipment but I still think it sounds decent.
I´ve got myself a crappy camrecorder so you can see me now
The sound is recorded by a very very cheap microphone aswell
LOW BUDGET HERE I COME hehe
Sorry for my crappy playing in this one though
What do You think ?
Take care !

Folks – I’m as much for the used gear as the new gear – and this right here is a killer buy – a Carvin ValveMaster 100w all tube head. Has 2 channels, 50/100w selectable, FX loop, 4, 8, 16 ohm taps, and is made in the USA – all for $300 bucks. Killer right? I think so! Enjoy the video!
