I have a Vox Ac30 and when I turned it on today I was really close and it smelled like something was burning. I haven’t played it in like 3 yrs. though. Is this normal?

you should keep a dust cover over that amp…

    Yeah. If the valves get dusty, when they heat up the dust smells like somethin burnin. Sorta like when u turn on a heater after it’s been sittin a few weeks.

    Yes. Vacuum tubes can get very hot, and when dust and debris get on them from sitting for long periods of time they can give off a smell that is similar to burning. The smell should disappearar over time as long as you use the amp more often.
